The event threshold values allow you to change the values that your events are based on. Say for instance, you want to receive a notification if a vehicle in your fleet drives more than 70 mph. The default configured value is 74,57 mph. Change this as follows:
- Click Manage fleet.
- Click Vehicles.
- Open the device registration tab.
- Enter custom values for speeding, harsh acceleration and harsh braking under the Event thresholds section.
- Reset these values back to default by clicking the reset button next to the Event thresholds heading.
Explained
Speeding is the maximum speed at which the vehicle is allowed to travel. Exceeding the entered value will result in the recording of a speeding event.
Harsh acceleration means the maximum increase in speed allowed, per second, when the vehicle is speeding up.Exceeding the entered value will result in the recording of a harsh acceleration event occurring.
Harsh braking is the maximum reduction in speed, per second, that will be allowed when the vehicle is slowing down. Exceeding the entered value will result in the recording of a harsh braking event.
