What is an IMEI number?
The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a unique 15 digit number that identifies every phone or mobile broadband device. The IMEI is thus used for uniquely identifying your device.
Where can I find it?
Your IMEI number is located on the device or on the packing slip that was emailed to you after registration.
How do I link this IMEI number to my vehicle?
- Click Manage fleet.
- Click Vehicles.
- Click on the relevant vehicle's description or on the edit icon at the end of the row.
- Click the device registration tab at the top.
- Enter your IMEI number (must contain 15 numbers).
- Click Register.
- Click OK.
- Click Save
Copy and paste the number from the packing slip. After you have linked all your IMEI numbers to your vehicles you can verify them by checking the last four digits captured in the application with the number on the device.
You can print a list to see which IMEI numbers are linked to which vehicles. If you see that you have inserted the wrong device into a certain vehicle, don't worry! Simply unplug the device from the vehicle, plug it into the correct vehicle and start driving the vehicle for the installation to automatically update with these new settings.
